President

Deneane Brown- Blackmon

The African-American Day Parade Breakfast was co-founded by Hon. Keith L.T. Wright and Hon. William C. Thompson Jr. to celebrate the Harlem Little League's achievement of reaching the semi-finals of the 2002 US Little League World Series.

Following this milestone, the committee decided to establish an annual breakfast to honor the accomplishments of organizations, small businesses, corporations, and individuals within the Harlem community. Since the event’s inception, Deneane Brown Blackmon has played a pivotal role in its success. In 2019, she assumed the role of President, continuing to drive the event’s mission forward. Under her leadership, and with ongoing involvement from Hon. Keith L.T. Wright, the breakfast has expanded its reach and impact, steadfastly recognizing and celebrating excellence in Harlem.
